Variety is reporting that the forthcoming James Brown biopic will be a Spike Lee joint. He’s signed on to direct the movie and will be rewriting a draft of the script which was written with the help of James Brown himself. Producer Brian Grazer comments that it’s “somehow not surprising that [James Brown] died on Christmas Day. He was the ultimate showman, all the way to the end.”

Does anyone still get surprised when Kanye slaps his logo onto yet another product? Hell — it wasn’t even all that surprising when Kanye slapped Fendi’s logo onto his own head. All this Kanye related logo slapping needs to end soon before someone gets hurt.
