On his last visit to Perth in December, Heath Ledger sat for artist Vincent Fantauzzo. Fantauzzo had planned to submit his portrait for the Archibald Prize this year, but released the image early with the approval of Ledger’s family. R.I.P.

I’ve been trying to clean up my computer. It’s hard trying to figure out what not to have immediate access to. So far I’m down to 3 cd’s in my itunes. Biggie,Rap Phenomenon, John Legend 1st album and the new Lupe… and some straggling random obnoxious hip hop. It’s really my guilty pleasure.
So I found my original brief for the caricature series tees we’ve done since birth. I used to copy the caricatures from the actual tees in middle school. The style and technique is all I used to draw. Things really haven’t changed. If you ever talk to anyone about what I’m doing now it will not be a surprise. I guess I knew what I wanted.
I came up with the idea to do the caricature tees way back in 95 or 96 when the actual east coast vs. west coast beef was developing. I pitched the idea to a few companies that passed on it. Guess things really do happen for a reason.
As the light at the end of the cold, damp tunnel of Winter draws near, many labels are beginning to preview their Spring offerings. Japanese label, Deluxe has taken the modest approach this go-around with highlights such as lightweight trousers, cardigans and varsity jackets. Last year, Nike released numerous AF1’s that paid tribute to various cities around the globe. This year with the “Be True” Dunk campaign, it appears that this trend will carry over. These super limited (86 pairs of each color) Dunks will be released in the 7 lucky cities of Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, LA, NYC, London and Paris. Somewhat understated, but extreme attention to detail make these the hottest releases yet of the series. Available: TBD.

I am sure that if you have been online in the last week or so you have seen these joints. PUMA teamed up with some ill shops to add thier own touch to the Cali. Even though its not the usaul suspects it still some pretty ill collabs never the less.They drop on FRIDAY. Each shoe at thier own spot, one at Shoe Biz, another at Sportie LA and the last at the PUMA Store in Santa Monica. SHout out to Shad for doing it right!
