Recently 1 half of LJ, Upendo, has been doing an artist recidency at the Blakeslee Recording Studio in N.Hollywood ,Ca. Also setting up the foundation of SMBLC art collective, which is LJ’s design/art direction and consulting firm.

In one of the most interesting designs for this spring, Nomis has just dropped their Hood Foot collection on selected retailers. The collection is accurately named: it consists of both a hoodie and a sneaker, but the belle of the ball is most definitely the hoodie. Meant to match the sneaker design perfectly, the drawstring mirrors the laces of the shoe, the hood matches the sneaker detailing, and the back of the hoodie is a copy of the shoe’s tread (pictured above). Japanese vinyl toy designers Gargamel have teamed with Mishka to release a limited edition vinyl to,y, the Hedoran Mini. Contrary to their namesake, Gargamel have designed a kaiju-influenced figure; and for those unfamiliar to the term, ‘kaiju’ roughly translates into ‘strange monster.’ The Hedoran itself is based on a Godzilla-influenced 1970s bootleg movie, modernized with Mishka’s distinctive colour ways. Limited to a run of 50, this excellently-detailed smog monster is available now via Mishka’s online store.
Though Undefeated’s spring collection has been relatively subdued, they’re set to drop the Murdered 5950 on April 5th. Featuring Undefeated’s familiar logo inscribed with ‘Play Dirty,’ the cap features an excellent mesh-styled waffle backing. Coming in both solid white and black, this cap is available at all Undefeated chapters and from their web store.
Nike has released this superbly revamped version of The Blazer in its original colorway along with the original Nike ‘Swoosh’ logo. It would seem that, despite the shoe being over 30 years old, this style will never age!

Vans latest ‘Vault Messenger Pack’, features SK8 High, Vans Slip On (pictured), and the Vans Era in solid purple and black colorways. The pack, which is composed of six sneakers in total, is set to release in Spring/Summer 2009.
Japanese street wear powerhouse Rocksmith is experiencing flashbacks to the ’90s with its fall lineup, which again displays the highest standard of quality. The 2009 collection ‘draws inspiration from the mood, primary color tones and experimental nature…’ of that era.
