S/Double Preview

sdouble

What’s left to say about Stussy that hasn’t already been said? Though the label has built up one of the strongest reputations in the industry, Shawn Stussy isn’t done yet. His latest project is S/Double, and from the looks of the above preview, he’s looking to expand his vision into cleaner, simpler, and perhaps more lasting designs. Thanks to SlamxHype for the heads up, and keep your eyes on S-Double.com (not much to see there – yet) or ShawnStussy.com for more info on what looks to be yet another promising label.

Reebok Seven Cardinals Omni Pumps

reebok1

We probably wouldn’t have thought so 20 years ago, but the Pump has become canonized as one of Reebok’s most revered sneakers. Though they’ve seen plenty of modernized releases, Reebok continues to churn out even more designs, with their latest being the aptly-named Seven Cardinals Omni. Themed around the perhaps the most entertaining of sins, each sneaker is themed after eiher pride, sloth, or greed, with the lace jewellery and sole hammering home the point. Keep your ears to the ground for these.

Nike Classic Slip-Ons

nikeslipon

Although Vans pretty well has the slip-ons market covered (and rightfully so, as the Vans Vault has been consistently dropping some excellent pieces), a little bit of variety couldn’t hurt. Or, at least, Nike feels that way, and they’ve included a collection of lace-free offerings for their summer collection. You won’t find any any loud numbers with aquamarine dinosaurs and pineapples, but their collection is simple and refined, sticking to solid colours and tasteful striping. Check out more images at KicksonFire or grab them right here.

ALife Rivington Club Saucony Jazz

saucony

I’m under the belief that the Saucony Jazz is one of the most underrated sneaker designs ever. Whether championed by the 80s jogger or the turn-of-the-millenium hardcore kid, the Jazz has proven to be a versatile design for the ages – er, decades. Proof? They’re still the choice footwear of lovable, vegan-as-fuck college kids from Western New York (the type whose vinyl collections put you to shame and whose kitchen shows make Matt and Kim videos look as authentic as a Dell commercial). Luckily, ALife’s classy offshoot, the Rivington Club, has noticed, and they’ve put out two versions of the Jazz with their own selected colour ways. These both look amazing, and I must say – it’s about time!

Kitsune Fall/Winter 09 Collection

kitsune

French designers Kitsune have carved a niche from themselves with their toned-down, classic apparel. And, by the looks of it, it’s an image they’ve maintained with their recently-leaked Fall Collection. Their fall collection consists of jackets, button-downs, and knit-wear; in particular, we’re impressed by their uncluttered, double-pocketed cardigans. Make sure to check the rest of the preview via SlamxHype.

Mike Mendez ‘Nemo Haremongous’ Figure

bunny

Sculptor Mike “Nemo” Mendez hasn’t provided us much work as a basis of comparison, but his latest figure, the Nemo Haremongous, is certainly impressive. Combining the vicious and the cuddly, this figure is clad in armour that’s half Cousteau and half just crusty. There are only 300 of these figures in circulation, so if you’re liking the deisgn, grab one right here or keep your eyes on eBay.

Puma ‘First Round’ Pack

puma_firstround_limited

Puma drops the Fall 2009 goodness with this limited edition ‘First Round’ pack that features two pretty rad high-tops. Both the black (shown above) and white models have gold detailing on the uppers and laces but are otherwise pretty much solid black or white – a refreshing approach. The Fall 2009 pack can be found here.

Ant Creates Medicom Bearbrick

ant_medicom_bearbrick

In commemoration of the 2009 Medicom Toy Exhibition, Ant created this amazing 400% Bearbrick, which is currently available to purchase at the event. Retailing at just over $100 the from of Ant’s Bearbrick is covered with a series illustrations whilst the back stays relatively blank. A nice clean aesthetic that’ll find a great spot amongst your collection for sure.

Nike SB: Debacle Online

nikesb_debacle

Nike digs its behemoth teeth into the skate film industry by incorporating Adobe’s Experience Design (XD) team and Hega TV with director Jason Hernandez and delivers some pretty remarkable results in Nike SB: Debacle. The film currently available online to stream or download so if you’re feeling some love for Nike SB, then check it out. The beats are on point and the skating speaks for itself.
