Having an interest in street art usually means we’re posting photos of paintings on concrete. In a bit of a shift of focus we present you with some paintings of concrete. Well actually, with concrete. Artist Erik J. Sommer creates highly textured and enigmatic pieces of art by applying concrete and paint directly to his canvases. With names like “King Phillip I” and “Red Balloon(I Wish I Was A)” you get the impression that there is some story bound up in the pieces which remains hidden behind a layer of concrete.
