Some of the chocolate (though unfortunately not the Graffiti Bars) can be bought here: http://chocolatebarnyc.com/ Hopefully they’ll add the Graffiti Bars soon.
It’s creative minds like Alison here that inspires other creative minds like myself. FIRE! Def gonna cop me a few when they drop online, and I probably won’t even eat em cuz they look so fly haha.
As Ric Grefe the executive director of AIGA put it in the Aug 2007 issue of HOW magazine, “…everything we know about past civilizations was discovered through some sort of design, graffiti and it’s “commercialization” has to to be view as the world’s way of wrapping it’s head around the medium and getting a better understanding of OUR culture.
I think this project is amazing and revolutionary, educational, fun, and supporting a cause so close to the door of it’s birthplace. What more could we ask for. I applaud the pioneers that came out to support this effort, I hope the ones who didn’t participate gain the understanding, that the artform is exploided when it’s done by those who don’t respect it, and share the benefits of it’s consumption as content.
When it’s done by the people for the people, and helps the people, it is the exception to the commercialization scenario.
I applaud Alison Nelson and all those involved with this great project!

The graff candy bar idea is awsome. I would buy those in a second if not for the chocolate but for the wrapper itself.
