my nola bike
sorry for the late post — i been bombed these past few with some upcoming projects this summer.
snuck down to nola end of april for a visit and tried everything at least once. the bourbon, the beignets, the po’ boys. even a revolving carousel bar and squirrel gumbo. the man shot them himself and slow cooked them with spiced andouille sausage smoked over oak. how’s that for southern hospitality!
i was really excited to visit some nola stores on my trip. i got to meet the people holdin’ down the south and took a few photos for reference. you’ll have to endure the series to get to the juice.
start of the trip, i went to dan’s for a bike ride. check out his pool. i don’t even have a dish washer.

dan’s pooch, montana loungin

rode our bikes to a levy that broke during katrina

took the route through some devastated areas with post-katrina real estate

a far cry from the unaffected french quarters

made a stop in to check out tha ‘hood shop, traffic

somehow managed to see the sunrise every morning from the hotel

the shrimp po’ boys here come highly recommended

rolled through the new street boutique, refresh

finished off with a few strikes

…and some zydeco

officially on a bounce binge & determined to get moves together before the next trip. missin’ the dirtay south…
