Dentsu + eepmon

Recently some of my eepmon works have been installed at Dentsu Canada’s new office over at the corner of King and Duncan, Toronto.

Called the “Dentsu Outdoor Gallery” (D.O.G.), this new gallery initiative is designed to feature Canadian artists from a broad range of disciplines including graffitists, mixed-media artists, illustrators, street artists, photographers and visual artists. It is an honor to be the first artist to jump start this initiative.

Hello all, some art updates from the eeps. Here are two new pieces that I created for the Yahoo! PurpleScape campaign. The premise of this campaign is to envision the color purple through the eyes of the artist. Yahoo! PurpleScape campaign highlights and promotes creativity for the Southern part of Asia. It will be making its travels to Indonesia, Philippines Vietnam and Singapore where the art work above will be part of it’s group shows.

The works will be published into a book highlighting PurpleScape and exhibit at South Asia’s Yahoo! BIG IDEA CHAIR event.

I’m a fan of Stones Throw Records. They’ve got really legit collection of artists like Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib, Quasimoto. Just recently I’ve been listening to Mayer Hawthorne and DAM-FUNK.

Oldskool Stuff

Back from Tokyo

Its been just about over a week since I arrived back from my Tokyo tour.
Things are starting to get busy again. First off more new works in the horizon.

There are acouple of pieces that didn’t make it for the Tokyo shows so I hope to have those ready soon. In the meantime I thought you would get a kick out of this photo below. I was goin through my old stuff and found this journal I made back in grade 3… who says that video games make people violent?

Yesterday I traded back Double Dragon. And I got back Bubble Bobble.
Did you know that I won Double Dragon? I did! First I jump kicked him two times. Then hair pull him three times. Then I elbowed him two times.
Then I killed him!

Hello all,

My bad in the lateness regarding to my Tokyo Tour. Literally running all over Tokyo every day! Summing it all up, my one month experience in Tokyo was absolutely amazing and already have plans to return sometime early 2010 for a performance collaboration (more details about that later).

During my time in Tokyo I was invited to do a presentation at PechaKucha. Originated in Tokyo, PechaKucha Night is a creative hub held monthly where creatives of all sorts present their works and ideas. Overall pretty fun and legit.

Most of the time I had spent my days on the INTERSECTIONS exhibit. Here are some photos:

Been a couple days at Gallery O2 for my INTERSECTIONS exhibit in Tokyo, Japan. Thought I would share with you some photos taken yesterday. It was the first time that I seen my works stretched and I must say how solid it looks. I am very pleased with how it turned out.

On May 23rd I will having an artist talk about my INTERSECTION works.
