Special thanks to Martin for covering our friends at Denham in Amsterdam and Marc Ecko’s latest ventures.
The KDU is featured in a six page spread covering the first leg of David Gensler’s world tour. First stops were China, where we met teams at Ogilvy and 361 Sports, before heading to Hong Kong to visit Edison Chen at Clot, Chris at IDN magazine and our good friend Brian at Knowledge. We then jumped to Japan for a few days of shopping and meetings. It was inspiring to talk to Frazier and crew at Nike Japan, before visiting Hiroshi Fujiwara, Hiroki and Matt from Visvim and the team at Swagger and Phenomenon. It was a pleasure and an honor to be invited to Guangzhou by Ogilvy.
We are co-developing a 500 piece special collection for 361 Sports for the 2010 All Asian Games.

The KDU x Hennessy Private Issue Jackets

The Keystone Design Union has a long standing relationship with LVMH Hennessy – mostly developing new strategies, products, marketing programs, etc.
These are two private issue jackets designed by David Gensler, Christopher Bevans, Magomed Dovjenko and Aerosyn Lex Mestrovic. Jackets are only available to Hennessy artists and special relationships.

The KDU and the Monster Trucks of Iceland

I will be posting a few large series of photos from our trip to Iceland… I think the monster trucks deserve a post all to themselves.
Due to the nature of the natural terrain, many icelanders opt to push a truck – many of which are monster trucks. We spent our first day in a new 2010 Land Rover Discovery.
A great road ride with amazing off road capabilities. I have always been a fan of Range Rovers and it was a thrill to drive this vehicle on black sand beaches and up and around various glaciers
and waterfalls. Our second day was spent in a monster van touring the northern glaciers, geysers and countryside.

It was an honor to host long time KDU member, Nigel Dennis and his band A LULL while they passed through Brooklyn.
A LULL is truly one of my favorite bands and has an amazingly unique sound.

The KDU Continues To Expand

This month we began our office expansion, giving us twice the square footage. The KDU Campus now spans over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.
The new expansion now allows for expanded private showrooms, dedicated photo studio, guest rooms, research library, conference rooms, and media room. More photos soon when the final touches are complete.
