I do respect what Dave from VSS Brand is saying about the new brands trying to come up in the 2007.

Coming from first hand, its extremely difficult to get brand awareness and clients when the scene is so constantly changing. You really have to have peers and associatees in the industry.

Luckily, we have had the blessings of our dear friend Tim Bess from The Doneger Group NYC–shouts out and some great help from others as well.

You really have to define what it is you want, and make it a point to go and get it, no matter what it takes.

We were featured in First Street as one of the up and coming brands for 2007, however we will only be asking 10 selected fine retailers to carry exclusive product placement for this spring. We reallyy want to see who the consumer is that is shipping at these specialty shops and boutiques. We want to make sure that the image we send to the NY’rs will fly will those over in Cali - you have to be willing to adapt to change in my opinion.

Much love to the all the creative people out there that are trying to carry this movement.

when it comes to new labels in the street-wear scene it should never be percieved as “posers” many of the guys coming out have for the longest time been in the “scene” thing is for people like myself technology caught up with us. back in 95/96 shopping at supreme was a norm for me and my younger brother. i used to get laughed at rocking the “fake” jordan shirt and the box tees you guys buy i was told were jordache supreme.
funny until the internet came out and a vast array of people saw that these brands were big and re-selling on ebay was the route……
then with the technology were it’s at starting a company now is the rage simply because start-up cost are much lower. and, contacts can be made through the screen. i say give everyone there just do till further notice. i know alot of you guys see the trash coming out, but the best thing about ruffling throught he trash is the treasure you may find underneath.
i get pissed too but i know that the best ideas are the ones that dont exist yet. mabey someone here can kill it and i will rock that shirt like i rocked that olllllllld supreme shirt with the paint stains in it!

IT was all about SCIFEN this time around, i seen it with my own two eyes. But your heads are too stuck up your own asses to even notice. “street wear” brands, hahaha yall AINT from the street, get it right. buncha “rich ass - askin parents for money” brands more like it. And no lie, other then SCIFEN I didn’t se anything that got my attention, truth be told. Not even LRG. looked the same as last 2 magics. campground looks more like a veteran army base of casualties. and the “cool guys” area is like hangin out at a high school dance, everyone lookin at everyone tryin to be cool. soo tiring.

Didn’t attend magic, but from what i hear it has been the worst since.
and to the comments about new brands coming up, why not? new brands coming up is what makes “streetwear” fresh, without new brands you will just keep seeing the same shit over and over.
