San Fransisco area gallery FIFTY24SF will be hosting an exhibition of work by The Date Farmers called ‘Strange Fruit’. The Date Farmers is a collaboration between Carlos Ramirez and Armando Lerma, channeling their Mexican-American heritage into gorgeous juxtopositions of folk art against pop culture icons and other parts of the collective consciousness. The Date Farmers have previously held exhibitions in Tokyo’s Beam Gallery and at MoveOn’s Manifest Hope Gallery.
