Tyvek is used for housing construction to help keep elements out, is utilized by the US Postal Service in its envelopes and keeps Netflix DVDs dry in the mail. DC Shoes’ LIFE collection is now enlisting the material for its footwear line. Two new models from the Spring 2009 collection use Tyvek paper in its mid-sole. The kicks are available at select retailers.
