In truly odd news, an inflatable, house-sized piece of art fashioned after dog excrement has wreaked havoc in Berne. Created by American artist Paul McCarthy, the artwork is aptly titled “Complex Shit.” Strong gusts of wind carried the piece 200 meters away from where it was being exhibited in Switzerland’s Paul Klee Center, crashing a power line and shattering a greenhouse window before landing in a children’s home on July 31. A faulty safety system is to blame for this rather unexpected disaster!
