Opening on Thursday, May 7th from 7-9 p.m. is Shinganist, a group show curated by Usugrow. In anticipation of Usugrow’s new clothing line, to be released August 1, and his new book Shinganist, the show consists of work by the book’s five contributors: Usugrow, Mozyskey, Toshikazu Nozaka, Bene, and Jun Kaneko. Shingani, the theme for the book and the show, means creating art inspired by the imagination, or mind’s eye, without influence or bias from the external world.
