Though the year is still young, Alex Pardee is already having a banner year. Last week, Format brought you news of his ‘Letters From Digested Children’ exhibit in San Francisco, and now you have the chance to buy some original mixed-media works from the Upper Playground store. The exhibit, whose theme revolves around missing children who were devoured by monsters, demonstrates an artist hitting his stride in exuberant-yet-disturbing fashion. Many of Pardee’s works come complete with a supporting evidence: missing childrens’ reports filed with the police and fictional SOS letters written from the belly of the beast. These original pieces don’t come cheap – with some costing upwards of $3000 – but the price is well worth it for a piece of original artwork.
