Composed of objets trouvés, ‘Young Mind, Old Soul’ exudes nostalgia and betrays the artist’s passion for the past. Word To Mother, an illustrator and painter from the U.K., seeks to reconcile having a ‘young mind’ and an ‘old soul;’ he believes in honoring the past, while seeking knowledge and progression. His work consists of carefully selected, aged items, like doors and tins, decorated with golds, turquoises—serving to add his personal touch to what preceded him.
